Ethical Storytelling

Stories are one of the most powerful tools we possess to talk about the work we do in Rotary. Using the principles of ethical storytelling, we can begin to understand how to make sure our stories are told with empathy and respect. During this session, participants will learn to identify the characteristics of ethical storytelling, consider the importance of ethical storytelling for Rotary, and brainstorm ideas for incorporating these principles into our communications.

During this 45-minute webinar, we will review the current state of our membership as of 1 July 2024, discuss recent research findings from the all-member surveys, and share ideas about how club and district leaders (YOU!) are improving the club experience for members. Community Action for Freshwater Webinar – Honoring World Environment Day

During this conversation, we will discuss the importance of telling compelling stories in your professional, personal, and community encounters, how Rotary and Toastmasters members craft stories that connect and inspire others, and understand the basic elements of an engaging story and explore some ways to take your stories from interesting to irresistible.

Empowering and Elevating Women in the Workplace, #IWD2024

The discussion will focus on the importance of not only including but being a champion of women in leadership — in the workplace and beyond. We will discuss the importance of identifying leaders early, establishing mentorship and sponsorship programs, and what it means to be a good ally. We’ll also announce and celebrate the recipient of the 2023-24 Sylvia Whitlock Leadership Award.
