Artificial intelligence (AI) is becoming a helpful tool for Rotary clubs and members — from drafting social media posts and generating fundraising ideas to summarizing meeting notes and analyzing volunteer engagement trends.

AI can amplify our work, but it must be used with care.

To help members use AI ethically and responsibly, Rotary has produced two resources — AI Guidelines for Members and the Member FAQ on AI Use — which outline key best practices for using AI in Rotary:

• Protect sensitive information, like personal data, donor information, and confidential club or district records.
• Never use AI to generate Rotary logos or marks. Any manipulation of our logo or marks violates our brand guidelines.
• AI-generated content can be inaccurate or biased and should always be reviewed by people before being shared.
• Disclose when AI is used to build transparency and trust.

We recommend sharing these resources with members, discussing them at club and district meetings, and incorporating them into club and district operations.
