Between January - March 2026, the media relations team collaborated closely with Rotary members to secure more than 108 pieces of media coverage in 15 countries with a combined audience of 364 million.
Highlights of the quarter included:
- The launch of the Rotary Peace Center in Pune, India, supported by an in-person press conference, generated 35 media coverages. Access all the coverage here.
- The opinion piece by Rotarian Dr. Amal El-Sisi, who leads Rotary’s Program of Scale - United to End Cervical Cancer in Egypt in the English-language edition of Al-Ahram.
- Dr. Shigeru Omi’s op-ed on polio eradication and Rotary’s role was published in the print edition of Asahi Shimbun (GLOBE section).
- The opinion piece in Devex titled “Africa has bold cervical cancer plans. Now we must deliver them” authored by Kenyan Rotary member Diana Njuguna.
- The cover story in the February edition of Rotary Magazine, The next generation of chess masters, on India’s chess culture was a result of collaboration within the Rotary Media Center team over several months.
